Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has reaffirmed his ambition to secure more silverware following his team’s progression to the MTN FA Cup semifinals.
Kotoko booked their spot with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over lower-tier side True Democracy in the quarterfinal clash at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, March 30. Goals from Saaka Dauda and Kwame Opoku sealed the win.
Speaking after the match, Ogum emphasized his drive for success.
“The aim of every coach is to win trophies… every player also wants to win trophies to be remembered,” he stated.
He stressed the importance of staying focused, adding, “We have to take it one game at a time. Next, we face Berekum Chelsea in the semifinals, but for now, our focus shifts back to the league. When the time comes, we will prepare accordingly. I can assure you, we are working hard to achieve our goals.”
In addition to reaching the FA Cup semifinals, Kotoko currently sits atop the Ghana Premier League table, further boosting their title aspirations.
