just four days after being officially sworn in—I had the honour of chairing my first Board Meeting of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP). As an entrepreneur deeply committed to youth development and innovation, I bring to this role a strong passion for nurturing the next generation of Ghanaian business leaders.

A key priority of this new Board is the successful implementation of the Adwumawura Programme, a flagship initiative aimed at equipping young entrepreneurs with the tools and support they need to thrive. I am committed to leading a dynamic, results-oriented Board that will work closely with our dedicated CEO, Eric Adjei, and the NEIP management team to bring this vision to life.

During the meeting, we received a comprehensive update on NEIP’s operations and strategic direction. It was clear that the agency is well-positioned to become Ghana’s leading launchpad for start-ups and young innovators. Our focus now is to accelerate progress and create a truly transformative environment for entrepreneurship in the country.

We also had fruitful engagements with the management team, gaining key insights into ongoing programmes and challenges. As part of our next steps, we will intensify collaboration with stakeholders to fast-track the Ghana Startup Agency Bill, which will provide a strong legal foundation for supporting emerging businesses.

I am proud to lead this important mission and look forward to working with all partners to build a vibrant, inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem that drives sustainable growth and opportunity for the youth of Ghana.
