“Wait Till You Lead First” — Dennis Miracles Aboagye Fires Back at Kwasi Kwarteng Over Bawumia Campaign Remarks

In a sharp and strongly worded rebuttal, Presidential Staffer Dennis Miracles Aboagye has responded to comments made by Kwasi Kwarteng, Communications Director at the Ministry of Education, regarding the performance of Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign.

Kwasi Kwarteng, in a Facebook post, criticised the Vice President’s communication team for what he termed the “most humiliating political defeat ever witnessed in the Fourth Republic,” blaming arrogance and pride for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) 2024 loss and claiming success in discrediting the widely reported “67 MP” endorsement claim.

However, Dennis Miracles did not take the comments lightly. In a detailed response, he cautioned Kwarteng to “wait till you get there first,” implying that Kwarteng has never led any presidential public relations effort and should therefore not be quick to pass judgment.

“We lost the 2024 elections, sadly, but I didn’t abandon my Boss. I am still here standing by him and fighting with him till we attain the goal,” Aboagye stated, contrasting his loyalty with what he described as Kwarteng’s history of abandoning former bosses, including the one who gave him his “biggest opportunity in life.”

He further recalled Kwarteng’s own attempt at running for election in a constituency where he garnered a meagre 12 votes despite months of campaigning — a reminder, Aboagye noted, that this current election is far bigger than individual ambitions.

“This election isn’t about you, and the earlier you realise that, the better for you,” he warned.

Dennis Miracles concluded his response by advising Kwarteng to refrain from peddling “falsehoods” and to elevate the quality of discourse going forward. “Step up your facts game and then you can get to engage us. Until then, use today well, you won’t get our attention from tomorrow,” he cautioned.

The exchange is the latest sign of growing tension within the ruling NPP following the party’s loss in the 2024 general elections and the ongoing internal discourse on the future direction of the Bawumia-led faction.
